Dakkon, Shadow Slayer is a white, blue and black formerly human Planeswalker, introduced after June 2022, following the release of the Streets of New Capenna set.
At release he had the sixth highest health in the game. He has good mana gains in his colors, and average deck limits with a focus on Spells: five Creatures, six Supports, and eight Spells.
Although emergent strategies are possible, Dakkon seems designed to gain large amounts of Loyalty with Blue gems (especially with conversion) and his first ability, ameliorating the high cost of the second and third and hopefully enabling them to be used more often.
It is worth noting that the first 2 levels of One's Vengeance Path bypass both Hexproof and Ward , but it is unlikely that a player would leave Dakkon unleveled to utilize this aspect. Level 4 of the ability, while losing the aforementioned bypasses, becomes much more versatile in that it can now target friendly creatures. While maintaining most of it's offensive use, this now additionally allows for:
-Friendly removal to prolong a match, allowing time to achieve objectives
-Friendly removal of permanently disabled creatures
-Friendly removal to utilize the significant conversion it creates
-Friendly removal to meet exile creature objectives
Note that the effects of the Forging the Blackblade token will not take place if there are no creatures for it to buff. Creatures Weakened until their Toughness is reduced to zero by Forging the Blackblade do not die until after combat damage is dealt.

White, Blue, Black Support Card; 4 Shields, Token.
- "At the beginning of the combat on your turn: Your first creature gets +1/+1 for each White, Blue and Black gem on the board until the end of turn. Then: If this support has the Darkness Emblem - Opposing creatures get -X/-X until end of turn. X is the greatest number among White, Blue or Black gems on the board."
If there are no friendly creatures for it to buff, the Forging the Blackblade token will not debuff enemy creatures.
Story
"The original forger of the Blackblade, Dakkon became a planeswalker, as promised by Geyadrone Dihada, after completing the creation of that powerful weapon. But his creation was used to split apart his soul from body, leaving him to planeswalk bound by the Blackblade."

The combination of white blue and black is called Esper after the Shard of Alara from the MtG multiverse. In Dakkon's set, SNC, this combination is the magic of the Obscura faction.
