Lukka, Wayward Bonder is a red human Planeswalker, introduced in May 2021 along with the Strixhaven card set.

He has high health and average deck limits with a slight focus on creatures and spells. He has an unusual set of mana bonuses: +6 to Red and +3 to two other colors (White and Black) is unusual in itself, but his minus 3 (to Blue) was unmatched until 2022, when PMA's Teferi, Chronoclast was released.

The focus of his abilities is creature cards, especially dead creatures. He can temporarily return dead creatures to play with added abilities, and deal direct damage for each of his dead creatures. He can also draw cards and buff his creatures in hand, and fetch his companion Mila as a support card.

Lukka, Wayward Bonder is the second of two playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody Lukka at different points in his life.

When a nontoken creature you control becomes the target of a spell an opponent controls: Draw a card. It gains half of its mana.

If not Invoked - When an opposing creature deals damage to a creature you control: Disable that opposing creature for 2 turns."

If Mila Invokes Lukka, Lukka does not gain his passive ability, otherwise, the abilities are the same as the card:

+1: Discard a card, then draw a card. If you discard a creature card this way, draw 2 cards instead.

-7: Return the first creature from your graveyard to the battlefield. That creature gains Haste . Then, Reinforce that creature.

Story

First a member of the Coppercoats—then, an outcast. Now, Lukka is a Planeswalker with the ability to control monsters and bond with them. Powerful and dangerous, Lukka vowed that he would return home one day. But, for now, he is setting his journey with Mila—his crafty companion.
