Overview

Will, Scholar of Frost and Rowan, Scholar of Sparks are a pair of blue and red humans who represent opposite sides of a single dual-sided Planeswalker. They were introduced in May 2021 along with the Strixhaven card set.

They have higher than average health, average mana gains with a slightly unbalanced spread, and average deck limits with a focus on spells.

The Scholars each have their own set of abilities which may be flipped between. Will has debuff, draw, and Token  creation abilities, while Rowan has buff, direct damage, and Copy  abilities. Both can draw cards and gain mana. Both of their ability sets have strong synergy with Enhanced  gems, with many powers scaling according to the number of Enhanced  gems on the board.

Will and Rowan, Scholars of Frost and Sparks are the third of three playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody the Kenrith twins at different points in their lives.

Story

A natural fit in the Prismari College of Strixhaven, the twins Rowan and Will thrive on their contrast and synergy. While Will's diligence and knowledge allows him to unfold many mysteries and find swift solutions to adversities, Rowan's strength and power grants her the means to deal with any trouble that they might come across!
