Planeswalkers (Infobox · Data) |
Kaito Shizuki is a black and blue human Planeswalker, introduced in March 2022 along with the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card set.
His mana gains are more of a "spike" type than many mono color walkers; he has a bonus of +6 to Black and only +2 to Blue. His deck limits are balanced, with a focus on Spells.
All of his abilities are very expensive and fairly powerful. His first is a combination of card draw, mana gain and making the opponent discard. The second enables the Ninjutsu mechanic by summoning a Rogue or Ninja. The third creates a Shadow Scroll token that can fetch up to two full-mana creatures of any type.
Kaito has low hit points at low level and gains HP more rapidly around level 40.
Kaito Shizuki is the first of two playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody Kaito at different points in their life story.
