Ob Nixilis, the Adversary is a Black and Red Demon Planeswalker released in June 2022, after the release of the Streets of New Capenna set.

Ob Nixilis, the Adversary has solid mana gains, especially Red and Black, with a little Blue. He has balanced deck limits and low health.

Ob Nixilis can make his opponent discard cards and lose life, or draw cards and take damage. He can gain life, summon Red Devil tokens and give Haste , Berserker  and First Strike  to the tokens. Although temporary buffs are usually only categorized as such, the Berserker given to the Red Devils is categorized separately, because of the synergy with the Red Devils' death ability.

Ob2 is the third dual color walker to receive a Passive Ability, after Dungeon Master and Arlinn, the Pack's Hope: Casual Call, which can double the effects of his Loyalty abilities.

Ob Nixilis, the Adversary is the second of two playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody Ob Nixilis at different points in his life.

Story

In pursuit of power, Ob Nixilis gets in contact with the demons that have control over New Capenna. With an intent of getting control of the plane, he attempts to attack all families, but Elspeth and Vivien get in his way.
