Legacy is a card set format which includes all card sets.
Legacy is often contrasted to Standard, a format including Origins plus some of the newest card sets, or Block format, which includes selected card sets only. Legacy format is associated with the Legacy Ribbon (
).
In events
In a Legacy Format event, decks may contain any card, since the Legacy format includes all card sets. Decks built from a larger pool of the best cards tend to make Legacy opponents more difficult than Standard ones.
In decks
Any deck containing one or more non-Standard format card is a Legacy deck, and may only be played in Legacy events.
- A Standard format Deck shows no ribbon in the deck editor.
- A Legacy format Deck shows the Legacy Ribbon (
) with the deck.
In card sets
The following card sets are Legacy card sets.
