Commodore Guff is a white, blue, and red human Planeswalker, released in April 2024 along with update 6.5.2, after the Murders at Karlov Manor set.

He has high health and average deck limits with a focus on Supports. He has good mana gains in White Blue and Red, with minus two to Red and Green. Like Narset of the Ancient Way and Sarkhan Unbroken, he can gain full benefit from two always-Standard Origins lands.

His abilities include three common focii: damage, fetching, and creature summoning, but also one rare and two extremely rare abilities, all of which focus on supports. The former one, part of A3 Titans’ Might, bolsters the shields of non-simple supports. The latter two both focus on Vanguard supports : the second part of Titan's Might allows them to be activated an additional time each turn, and A1 Meddling With Fate reduces their casting cost.

Story

"Commodore Guff is a human Planeswalker that lived in a hidden library that contained all books ever written. Among these books were the ones which told the history of what would come to pass. Guff later joined the Nine Titans to combat Phyrexia, even though he knew how Phyrexia would win. He rewrote those books, changing the fate of Dominaria."

The combination of white blue and red is called Jeskai after the Jeskai Clan of Tarkir from the MtG multiverse, Narset's home plane, and where she became Khan of the Jeskai Way.
