Ral, Crackling Wit is a red and blue Otter Planeswalker (transformed from a human) of Ravnica's Izzet Guild, released in September 2024 along with release 6.8.0 and the Bloomburrow card set.
He has a little higher than average health and deck limits with one extra spell. He has good mana gains in his colors and neutral in others.
Ral's abilities destroy gems, damage the opponent and creatures (without targeting them, bypassing Hexproof), draw cards, Copy spells, gain mana, including full mana. His second ability is cheap and strong, doing seven damage per turn (and seven more per turn, each time the Otter stack is reinforced) simply for casting a single spell (and taking up a creature lane).
Ral, Crackling Wit is the third of a small number of playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody Ral Zarek at different points in his life.

- "Ral, the Crackling Wit, is a Human Planeswalker turned into an Otter. After the events that followed the murders of Zegana and Teysa, Ral was contacted by Niv-Mizzet to assist in his Onmenpath Project. The search led him to Bloomburrow, where he helps fight the Calamity Beasts."
