Karn, Living Legacy is a colorless golem Planeswalker, introduced in late 2022, after the release of the set that returns to his origins in Dominaria: Dominaria United.

Being colorless, all of the iterations of Karn can include cards of any color in their decks, as long as those cards share a color with the event node on which they play.

He has average health and average deck limits, with slightly lowered creature and spell limits to allow the penultimate support count of nine. Like Karn, Scion of Urza, his mana bonuses are perfectly balanced, but in total, as low as Origins Planeswalkers.

All of his abilities create his unique support, the Powerstone. Like Wizard Class and its ilk, it cannot be reinforced, so it can potentially cover the board, which in turn powers it up, for a virtuous circle. However, it is not Resilient  as Wizard Class is, and it only activates when matched.

Karn, Living Legacy is even more niche than Karn, Reflective Silver, being strong with powerful cards like Old Gnawbone that can cover the board in Treasure artifacts (or the equivalent for Fabricated Servo tokens ), and weak outside of that context.

Karn, Living Legacy is the third of three playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody the construct Planeswalker Karn at different points in his life.

Story

Inheriting both his creator’s ingenuity and shame, Karn, the Silver Golem made planeswalker sought to undo many dangers left in the multiverse through his Legacy. The infection that once affected both him and the world he created now threatens his creator’s birthplace. Karn shall use all his wisdom and might to drive Phyrexia back, once and for all!.
